Qantas is seeking a Procurement Operations Specialist to support the Group Procurement team in transforming processes, systems, and training programs across the organization. The role involves day-to-day administration of the supply chain risk and assurance program, plus providing expert advice to internal stakeholders and delivering data analytics and reporting.
OverviewOur Group Procurement team drives value across the supply chain, establishing governance frameworks, policy, standards, and processes that underpin procurement discipline and the supply chain assurance program. We are transforming systems and processes to improve the buyer experience, strengthen compliance, and unlock efficiencies.
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day administration of the supply chain risk and assurance program.
- Drive business change by designing and implementing processes, systems, and training programs across the Group.
- Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders and manage operational issues through to resolution.
- Deliver insightful data analytics and reporting to support procurement initiatives and decision-making.
- 5-10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related commercial role, ideally within a large, complex organisation.
- Tertiary qualifications in technology, finance, sustainability, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to drive transformation and improvement initiatives, including data analytics and emerging technologies such as generative AI.
- Advanced capability in analysing data, interpreting trends, and presenting findings and recommendations professionally.
- Strong IT literacy with the ability to engage confidently with systems and technical specialists.
- Commitment to responsible procurement practices, with an interest in sustainability and ethical sourcing in the supply chain.
