About The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Parts Interpreter to join our Kwinana team. This role will report to the Planning Supervisor and will provide technical parts support to our customers and our service team. The parts interpreter understands and is responsible for all aspects of parts inventory and stock control.

This is a full-time role on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will:

  • Accurately interpret parts requirements from technical descriptions, drawings, manuals and work scopes.
  • Consult with technicians, planners and team leaders to accurately identify, pick and issue parts required for work orders.
  • Be the first point on contact for the company with suppliers. Understand how to source and secure parts at competitive prices, efficiently.
  • Ensure all back orders, forward orders, stock transfers, credit notes and general distribution is followed up in a timely manner.
  • Check, receive and dispatch parts inventory.
  • Coordinate offsite overhaul of repairable items.
  • Manage workshop tooling and equipment calibration and servicing.

Skills and Experiences:

You possess:
  • Experience in a Parts Interpreter role, ideally in truck, trailer, automotive industries and/or tool sales.
  • Forklift licence.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good computer skills and experience with inventory systems.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Certificate III in Automotive Sales - Parts Interpreter is highly regarded.
