NewcastleMaitland, Australia nib Group Full time

Let's talk about this role

Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights that drive real impact? As a Data Analyst within our Payment Integrity team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of claims accuracy and efficiency. Using analytics techniques and tools like Snowflake and SumoLogic, you'll collaborate with internal and external teams to streamline workflows and eliminate double handling. Your work will directly support data-led decision making, helping us proactively identify and address claims leakage while ensuring a seamless experience for our customers and providers.

This is a varied role where you'll become a subject matter expert in the full lifecycle of claims. You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining a suite of robust regression tests, building and implementing business rule logic in our configurable rule-based platform, and developing clear, impactful data visualisations and reporting for stakeholders across the business.

Let's talk about you

You're a curious and solutions-focused data professional with a strong foundation in SQL and experience working with relational databases. You thrive in environments where you can take ownership of complex problems and translate data into meaningful insights that drive business outcomes. Your attention to detail, combined with excellent communication skills, allows you to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

  • You bring experience in Private Health Insurance or a related field
  • You're comfortable working with tools like Excel, Tableau, and Snowflake
  • You're organised, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies and concepts including Data Build Tool and business rules automation tools, if you haven't already.
  • You've worked in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Insights and you're ready to step into a role where your technical expertise and analytical mindset will be valued and expanded.

If you're looking to grow your career in a team that's pioneering data-led innovation in claims management, we'd love to hear from you.

We know some people only apply when they meet every requirement. We're always on the lookout for curious individuals who will add to the culture - so if this role resonates with you and you have relevant experience; we'd love to hear from you
