UHI Perth is one of Scotland's leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education,and a large partner in Scotland's newest University, the University of the Highlandsand Islands.

As a member of the Student Services team, and working closely with a range ofcolleagues across UHI Perth, you will be responsible for co-ordinating theprovision of appropriate support to students who have additional support needswithin a mental health context. This includes those with social communicationconditions and emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will also offer supportprovision for any student who presents with emotional distress or in crisis.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the provision of information,advice, and guidance, preferably in an education or training setting, and experienceof working with people who have additional support needs. You should be confidentin using digital tools, well-organised, and experienced in administrative tasks. Youshould also be familiar with and have an understanding of assistive technology andsupport relating to mental health.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with relevant qualificationsat degree level are essential. A recognised counselling qualification would also beadvantageous as would the PDA Inclusiveness (formerly known as BRITE Level 4).
