Overview: The Breakfast Attendant provides exceptional service to guests in the breakfast area, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and seating guests promptly
- Maintaining cleanliness and appearance of menus and service areas
- Clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables and hotel spaces
- Stocking and organizing service areas
- Handling guest requests and offering alternatives
- Communicating with departments about VIP guests
- Supporting beverage and food service, including cleaning and restocking
- Knowing service standards for room service orders
- Understanding menus and specials
- Performing cashiering duties and closing procedures
- Answering guest inquiries about the hotel and local attractions
- Producing quality drinks as required
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Legal age to serve alcohol and passing responsible serving certification (e.g., TIPs)
- Food Handlers card as required
- Ability to evaluate situations quickly and calmly
- Understanding of hotel services and guest relations
- Effective communication skills
- Positive attitude and service orientation
- Basic food and beverage knowledge
- Numerical ability and basic reading/writing skills
- Patience, tact, and diplomacy in customer interactions
- Willingness to learn and support team members
