About The Role

Come and join the CopRice Group in Tongala / Cobden Victoria. Relocation assistance provided to successful candidates who would like to make Tongala or Cobden their home.

Fantastic permanent opportunity We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to provide operational assistance and advisory service to all team members, management of HWSE and the prevention of workplace accident and injury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Compliance: ensure compliance with the SunRice Group Safety Management System and relevant legislation. This will include monitoring training compliance and reviewing compliance activities.
  • Investigations: conducting investigations and unsafe working conditions. You will lead root cause analysis and development of recommendations during investigations.
  • Risk Management: identifications of hazards and risks to HWSE and support or drive actions to reduce risks.
  • Engineering and Reliability: plan and implement continuous improvement methodologies and approve CAPEX for Safety.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have the skills and ability to engage the workforce to drive and own safety and environment. If you are proactive and results oriented with a safety-first mindset, then this role is for you

You Will Have
  • Recognised industry qualification such as Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Experience in management of occupational health and safety systems in a manufacturing business (desirable).
  • Experience and participation in the Safety Health and Environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and ability to interpret acts and regulations, understanding of common law.
  • Internal Auditor (desirable).
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to communicate and engages with stakeholders.
