The Role
We're looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking educator to join our team at Malvern Campus. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing student learning and wellbeing by developing and implementing teaching strategies that cater to the diverse needs and strengths of our students.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Malvern Campus, with the role starting at the beginning of Term 3 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of the content and teaching strategies to develop engaging learning outcomes.
- Experience working with lower primary years from Prep – Year 2.
- Apply teaching strategies based on knowledge of students' physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning.
- Use effective teaching strategies to integrate ICT into learning and teaching programs to make selected content relevant and meaningful.
- Develop, select and use informal and formal, diagnostic, formative and summative assessment strategies to assess student learning.
- Participate in learning to update knowledge and practice, targeted to professional needs and school priorities.
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant experience as a generalist classroom teacher with sound understanding of the principles of teaching and learning in the primary years.
- Experience with the IB PYP Program (advantageous).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire children.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development.
- Seasoned time management and organisational skills.
- Hold a current VIT registration and relevant teaching qualifications.
