Tempur Sealy is hiring a 1st shift Maintenance Technician at our Belmont, MS facility. The Maintenance Technician is a multi-skilled craftsperson responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical and electrical processes used in manufacturing, as well as support equipment located in the building or on the grounds. The goal is to maximize production and the longevity and appearance of the building, grounds, and equipment.

Salary: $33.00 hourly

What You'll Do:

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all plant machinery, equipment, building, and grounds.
• Utilize 5S principles, support continuous improvement activities, root cause analysis, PM, TPM, and best maintenance practices.
• Follow 5S policies, ensuring the workplace is clean at the end of each job or workday.
• Fabricate and install special equipment as needed.
• Perform maintenance, production, or other duties as assigned, including PM inspections, TPM events, and supporting machinery knowledge database.
• Meet or exceed safety requirements including 5S, PPE, forklift, aerial lift, LOTO, and awareness training.

• High-level mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and failure diagnostics knowledge.
• Experience with AC/DC drives, motor controls, PLCs, and electro/mechanical devices.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams, and use sketches for communication.
• Proficiency with shop tools and machinery, including welders, oxy-acetylene torches, band saws, drill presses, and hand tools.
• Knowledge of blade change procedures for training, documentation, and diagnostics.
• Ability to install and maintain equipment, motors, drives, conveyors, switches, blades, bearings, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic experience required.
• Knowledge of chemical process systems is a plus.
• Experience with 480V, 240V, 110V, DC power, and control circuits.
• Arc Flash experience preferred.
• 3-4 years of plant manufacturing experience preferred.
• Two-year technical degree, vocational, or apprenticeship preferred.
• S. Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work all shifts if needed.
