Aurum is on the hunt for an enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our friendly aged care team. As a valued Kitchen Hand at Aurum, you will:
  1. Deliver consistent high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers to the prescribed service standards.
  2. Prepare food and beverage products to the prescribed standard operating procedures/duty statement.
  3. Complete cleaning tasks as prescribed by the standard operating procedures/duty statement or as directed by the Chef on duty.
  4. Advise the Chef on duty of any catering-related issues and needs where required.
  5. Complete any operational cleaning requirements as required or directed by the Chef on duty.
  6. Attend team meetings as required.
Roster:

The successful applicant will be able to work a mix of morning and afternoon shifts and be available to work on weekends.

Duties:
  1. Deliver consistent high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers to the prescribed service standards.
  2. Prepare food and beverage products to the prescribed standard operating procedures/duty statement.
  3. Complete cleaning tasks as prescribed by the standard operating procedures/duty statement or as directed by the Chef on duty.
  4. Advise the Chef on duty of any catering-related issues and needs where required.
  5. Complete any operational cleaning requirements as required or directed by the Chef on duty.
  6. Attend team meetings as required.
Skills and Experience:
  • The ability to align with our Values.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a high-performing team.
  • A passion for delivering great service and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A good understanding of HACCP/food safety programs.
  • Certificate III in Cookery or Hospitality (Desirable but not essential).
  • Capacity to lift up to 20kg.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical.
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check.

Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a commercial kitchen is highly desirable but not essential.
