This is a unique opportunity to use your financial modelling and analytical expertise to influence key strategic and commercial decisions across Nine.Day to day you will:Support Nine's annual strategic planning and budgeting process.Develop and evolve reporting frameworks for executive and board-level communication.Conduct in-depth analysis and financial modelling to understand and explain business issues and opportunities.Produce high-quality analysis of data and business drivers to inform smarter decisions.Extract the "so what" from the numbers and communicate insights to a wide range of stakeholders.Create and present clear, impactful presentations for senior management and business leaders.
Qualifications
What you'll bring: Prior experience in a planning, strategy, or analysis role at a large and complex organisationA commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to present complex information clearly.Strong financial modelling and quantitative capabilities.Exceptional attention to detail and a proven track record of producing high-quality documents.A CA, CFA, or an equivalent qualification is strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.Additional InformationHow we workAt Nine, our flexible work options vary by role and team. We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations Assistant to help the CEO and broader team stay focused on growth by streamlining workflows, managing priorities, and keeping the business running smoothly. This is a part-time role (approximately 24-30 hours per week) with a mix of administrative, operational, and strategic support.

We're a fast-growing, funded startup (est in 2013) building the go-to platform for booking venues and event suppliers. With 5,000+ listings already live, we're scaling quickly across Australia - and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Be the go-to person for team processes, operations, and accountability.
- Capture meeting notes, assign tasks, and update project management tools.
- Maintain and improve workflows and data in HubSpot and other systems.
- Create and update reports, processes, and documentation.
- Keep the team accountable by following up on tasks and deadlines.
- Respond to customer and team support queries.
- Organise team activities, travel, and other internal and external engagements.
- Help with staff onboarding and offboarding.
- Provide ad-hoc admin support, including research, errands, and organisation for the wider team.
Requirements
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp, Notion).
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Able to work independently, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Startup experience is a plus
- Immediate start is preferred

The Job
Located in the heart of Sydney, we're now on the lookout for a Business Operations Manager to join our small but mighty finance team. The Business Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless operational and financial processes for Val Morgan Digital. This role acts as the primary liaison across the business, ensuring accurate reporting, efficient financial processes, and operational compliance. The role manages budgets, vendor relationships, and key financial reconciliations to enable smooth day-to-day operations and accurate reporting.
Liaising with internal teams and clients as the primary point of contact within the finance team
Reconcile VMC sales revenue and provide monthly reports to the sales team
Work with the Divisional CFO to manage and monitor VMC budgets, ensuring spend aligns with forecasts
Monitor and maintain internal systems for payments, reconciliations, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Identify variances and recommend strategies to remain within budget
Allocating funds received from creditors to advertising campaigns
Responsible for the accurate reconciliation of all
