We needresilient,driven, reliable,independentandpassionatepeople to join the Virgin AustraliaNetwork Controlteam.It'sa challenging role with a lot of responsibilitiesin afast-paced operationalenvironment.Network Controllers keep all thecogs turningto ensurewemaintain and delivera safe and on time flight scheduleby working hand in hand with multiple teamsin the Integrated Operations Centreandfrontlineoperationalteams across thenetwork.
Whatyou'llbe doing:
- Co-ordinateall requirementsto facilitate safe and efficient RPT and Charter flight schedule operations.
- Effectively and professionally communicate and engage with stakeholders at all levels, including executive and senior leadership teams.
- Make strategic, well planned and fact-based decisions underpressure.
- Execute adequateandappropriate response to OTPthreats.
- Operate various operationsandcommunication specific systems and associatedprocesses.
- Coordinate responses to medical/ other emergencies, operational issues, schedule disruptions and disruption recovery.
- Ensure the best commercial and operational results are achieved with a critical focus on safety and ultimate customer experience outcomes.
Please note: This is a 12-month maximum term contract
What you need to be successful:
- Be a self-starter.
- Understanding of centralised control systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of airline operations or similar operations control experience.
- Ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment.
- Comfortable and confident in a collaborative, fast paced team environment.
- Strong social skills encompassing the ability to manage relationships, communicate effectively, and inspire and influence others.
- Exceptional communication, problem solving and organisational skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Can work a 24/7 rotating shift roster (including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and public holidays)
- Legally able to live and work in Australia.
