Our Federal Government client is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Business Development and Delivery Unit to support project managers, software developers, and solution architects to deliver projects for business by undertaking core business analysis activities.

The role includes engaging with stakeholders, conducting detailed requirements analysis, documenting business processes, developing standard templates and procedures, and producing reports. To succeed in this role, you should have an analytical way of thinking and be able to explain complex concepts to non-technical users.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise, leadership, and guidance to business units who seek expert input from ICT.
  • Elicit, manage, and document requirements through stakeholder engagements such as meetings, workshops and working groups.
  • Evaluate business processes, business service functions, uncover areas for improvement and optimisation, formulate solutions, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Effectively communicate business insights to team members and management.
  • Effectively manage work plans with consideration for competing resources and priorities.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, and ICT Units in the Group.
  • Contribute to peer review processes.
