This is a leadership position that focuses on ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care through advanced clinical practice, staff supervision, and compliance with aged care standards.

  • Assist the Residential Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing and care staff.
  • Ensure care is delivered in line with residents' goals, preferences and assessed needs.
  • Oversee care planning, assessments, case conferences, and AN-ACC documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant aged care legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Liaise with GPs and allied health professionals to ensure holistic care delivery.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management of staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in the clinical setting.

What You'll Bring Essential:
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 3 years' post-registration experience in aged care.
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance and aged care standards.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor and support a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed skills in time management, prioritisation, and decision-making.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in clinical documentation systems
  • Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an NDIS Worker Screening Check (or a current AFP check with an active NDIS application).
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Up-to-date influenza vaccination and willingness to comply with applicable health directives.
  • Willingness to travel within Queensland, including occasional overnight stays as required.
