What You'll Do

Unlike community pharmacy, where focus is often on volume and retail, hospital pharmacy offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and collaboration are essential. Your decisions will directly impact patient treatment outcomes.

At Slade Pharmacy Northside, you'll work closely with Clinicians, Nurses, and Technicians, manage specialised medications, and play a key role in patient care from diagnosis to treatment and recovery. This is a career move into a more professional, specialised, and impactful future.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation.
2. Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products.
3. Coordinate patient medication requirements during inpatient stays, day infusions, and discharge.
4. Develop and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.
5. Support patients, carers, hospital staff, and related personnel.
6. Educate and advise staff and patients on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection, and the quality use of medicines.

What You'll Bring

We seek a Pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical environment, with professionalism, attention to detail, and a patient-centred approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise are essential, especially in high-pressure situations.

No prior hospital pharmacy experience is required, as full training and mentorship will be provided by our experienced team. Early career Pharmacists are encouraged to apply.

Essential Requirements

• General registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice.
• Minimum 1-year Australian Pharmacist experience.
• Australian working rights valid for at least 12 months from the start of employment.
• Personal Indemnity insurance.

• Background in hospital pharmacy.
