NEPEAN Belting continues to experience strong growth, with multiple contract wins creating exciting opportunities for skilled professionals to join our team. We are currently seeking Underground Electricians for permanent Outbye/Project site work near Moranbah.

  • Superannuation paid on all hours

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Current Electrical Trade Certificate / Electrical Licence
  • Underground Coal Mining Experience (essential)
  • Current Standard 11 - UG
  • Coal Board Medical (within last 5 years)
  • UG Coal Skills Matrix or competencies (within last 5 years)
  • Strong knowledge of AS/NZS 4871 Electrical Equipment for Mines
  • Proven experience with high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems
  • Competence in fault finding, repair, and maintenance of underground electrical equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with mining regulations
  • Reliable and self-motivated with strong teamwork skills

Desirable / Highly Regarded

  • Underground equipment tickets (e.g., Shuttle Car, Continuous Miner)
  • Work at Heights - RIIWHS204E
  • Lifting/Dogging or Conduct Lifting Operations
  • EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) competency
  • Conveyor maintenance and troubleshooting experience
  • VSD (Variable Speed Drive) commissioning and maintenance
