They now require an Accountant to join their team in Parramatta, NSW.

The Role

This is for a full time role with an annual salary ranging from $77,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation and will be based in their office in Parramatta, NSW.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of accounts, tax returns, Business Activity Statements, FBT, and other compliance matters
  • Planning, preparation and execution of financial statements with appropriate note disclosures
  • Liaising with the ATO and other government departments
  • Conducting tax interviews & preparing tax returns
  • Liaising with management to meet corporate accounting and tax obligations.
  • Providing solutions based on current business and financial conditions
  • Performing accounting services including month end close, processing relevant journals, balance sheet, intercompany processing, revenue analysis and statutory accounts production.
  • Preparing ASIC report and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Helping solve their tax issues and providing technical suggestions with the usage of accounting software such as XERO and MYOB
  • Contribute towards process improvement and implementation and ensuring client confidentiality and privacy, etc.

Requirements
  • Must have at least 2 years' accounting experience in a professional commercial capacity gained within Australia
  • Relevant Tertiary degree qualifications in Accounting
  • At least 2 years' commercial experience in Sage, MYOB & XERO Accounting software
  • Must have 2 years' intermediate knowledge and experience with company income tax and GST
  • Must have experience with statutory reporting for BAS, Annual reports, ASIC and ATO reporting
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to multitask while maintaining a calm and efficient demeanour
