Overview

HenderCare, Kings Park, Perth, WA, Australia is hiring a Care Attendant. This casual role involves providing high-quality in-home and community care to clients in the local area, including supported independent living facilities.

About The Role

In this casual role, you'll support clients in their own homes or supported living facilities. Responsibilities include person-centred care, personal care, social supports, transportation, meal preparation, hoisting and domestic tasks such as vacuuming, laundry, cleaning bathrooms and dusting.

Currently we are seeking applicants who are available Monday to Friday, between 7am and 10pm, and are happy to work shifts that are 2 to 5 hours in length. This role would suit someone looking for around 10 hours of work per week, with potential for more hours in the future.

About You

You are empathetic, compassionate and flexible around client needs. You are eager to learn and to ensure clients receive the best possible care. You may have experience with NDIS clients, disability care or veterans' affairs clients. Any previous experience is highly regarded.

Essential Criteria
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability)
  • Recent National Police Clearance
  • Your own reliable vehicle for transport
  • Current CPR (HLTAID009), First Aid (HLTAID012) and Manual Handling (HLTWHS005) or willingness to obtain
  • NDIS Clearance and Working with Children Card or willingness to obtain
