About The Role

The Biomedical Engineering department provides a high quality of medical technology support service to clinical staff in their use of medical devices to monitor, diagnose or treat patients within the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD)

This role is responsible for acceptance testing, calibration, performance verification, preventative maintenance, repair and record keeping with regards to medical technology employed within the WNSWLHD.

The Biomedical Engineering department operates as a central reference point for all Biomedical Engineering related activities and functions in accordance with best practice, relevant Australian Standards and Industry Guidelines. The department's objective is to provide safe, effective, reliable and well-maintained medical devices for patient care throughout the WNSWLHD.

Within this role you may be required to be available for the 'On Call' roster and occasional overnight stays.
