The Role
Rabobank has an opening for an Analyst, Customer Due Diligence (CDD) in Sydney. This opportunity has arisen due to an internal movement. You will join a team dedicated to completing CDD activities for our online savings business.
Report to the CDD Lead – Rabobank Online Savings, you will join a highly engaged team who work average 1-2 days per week in the office.
Top Role Accountabilities:
- Perform initial onboarding & ongoing CDD assessments for Country Banking Australia & Rabobank Online Savings Australia clients to ensure accurate completion/ submissions & the bank's regulatory obligations - including but not limited to the AML/CTF Act.
- Conduct in-depth transactional analysis as part of ongoing CDD activities to ensure there are no inconsistencies observed in relation to the expected behaviour of the Client.
- Escalate CDD files to enhanced due diligence teams as required for further analysis.
- Undertake the following responsibilities to assist the Bank in complying with FATCA/CRS obligations to identify & report on clients who have a foreign tax obligation.
- Check that FATCA/CRS onboarding forms have been completed accurately & in full & determine the FATCA/CRS classification of each NTB customer.
- Act on changes to customer CDD information which may indicate a change in foreign taxpayer status.
- Support the respective businesses in managing their risk by ensuring alignment to a standardised approach to customer due diligence processes.
- Collaborate with in-house risk and compliance SMEs to ensure optimal outcomes with a specific focus in CDD & AML/CTF.
- Other duties as directed.
To be successful you will have:
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in the financial industry, specifically KYC & financial crime.
- A general understanding of AML/CTF legislation, Code of Banking Practice & FATCA.
- Customer-service oriented with excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Experience in working across multiple activities in a fast paced, dynamic, & collaborative environment.
- An ability to analyse complex structures to determine risk exposure and applicable KYC/AML requirements.
- A high level of accuracy & attention to detail.
