The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Analytics Engineer to join our Group Analytics team. In this role, you'll lead data initiatives across Gaming, Food & Beverage, Hotels, Conferences, and Customer departments — spanning our Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth properties.

You'll work within the Google Cloud Platform to design and execute data strategies, build scalable models, and deliver real-time insights that drive smarter decision-making. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and commercial impact.

You will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with business units to identify key data sources and define requirements for consumption and analysis.
  • Designing and implementing data models that support efficient storage, retrieval, and activation for analytics and business intelligence.
  • Developing and deploying advanced data science models to support forecasting, prediction, and alerting.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable insights.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives across Gaming product, Play Safe (Responsible Gaming), Financial Crimes (AML), and other business areas.
  • Ensuring data integrity through rigorous testing, validation, and continuous improvement.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends to enhance Crown's data capabilities and drive innovation.

About You

You're a technically skilled and commercially minded analyst who thrives in a fast-paced, data-rich environment. You enjoy solving complex problems, building scalable solutions, and influencing business outcomes through data.

You will also bring:

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience working with cloud-based platforms and big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark is a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and present insights clearly.
