About The Role

As part of CCQ's Cancer Counselling Service, our psychologists deliver telehealth and face to face evidence-based counselling interventions to people affected by cancer and their families and contribute to programs to promote the psychological adjustment of people affected by cancer.

This role is a part-time, permanent position (22.5 hours per week).

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring:

• Registration as a psychologist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
• Experience in clinical or counselling psychology, preferably in oncology.
• Skills in the delivery of evidence-based telephone and/or face-to-face psychological interventions
• Be eligible for a Medicare Provider
• An understanding of the psychosocial impact of cancer on individuals, partners and families, as well as experience or training focused in the area of bereavement, grief and loss is highly valued
• Postgraduate tertiary qualification in psychology is desirable but not essential.
