The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Our core business is the provision of quality, accessible health services to country WA residents and visitors.
REGION PROFILE
The Kimberley is the most northern and tropical of WA. Geographically diverse – the Kimberley boasts pristine white beaches, rugged and spectacular ranges and gorges, palm lined chasms, secluded waterholes, tidal mudflats and some of the largest and most beautiful rivers and waterways in the world. The Kimberley region keeps people intrigued for many years through the diverse range of activities, rich cultural history, varied working experiences and mix of friendly people and unique characters.
Broome is one of the state's leading tourist destinations. The 60-bed hospital provides health care to a resident population of 17,000 which expands to 55,000 during the tourist season.
