About your Role:

  • Coordinate the purchasing and storage of ingredients as instructed.
  • Ensure all ingredients are prepared and ready ahead of class time to ensure smooth lessons.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces
  • Purchase and organise ingredients and resources for practical classes
  • Setting up and packing down kitchen workspaces and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen areas, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces and equipment.
  • Supporting students and teachers during practical lessons
  • Monitoring hygiene and safety practices in line with WHS guidelines and Food Safe practices.
  • Purchasing equipment and supplies for the TAS department
  • Performing basic administration and clerical tasks.
  • Drivers licence required
  • Working as part of a collaborative and professional team that values initiative, attention to detail, and a service-oriented attitude.

About You:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in an educational or school setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • An interest in food preparation and supporting student learning.
  • Strong communication skills, especially when interacting with students and teachers.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to tasks.
