To continue this transformation, we're seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect who has expertise in the strategy, design, development, testing and implementation of cloud computing applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and an ability to use these resources to help our business become more secure and efficient.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based infrastructure solutions that support the firm's digital transformation strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess current systems, and recommend scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
• Develop and execute strategies for migrating on-premises applications to the cloud with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Oversee the operation and optimisation of the cloud environment, ensuring availability, performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, providing strategic recommendations to drive innovation.
• Create and maintain reference architectures, patterns, and standards to guide cloud adoption and infrastructure development.
• Provide thought leadership and mentorship to internal teams, building cloud competencies across the organisation.
• Promote best practices and knowledge sharing for cloud infrastructure to empower teams and ensure consistent adoption.
• Define and track key metrics to measure cloud adoption, performance, security posture, and business value.
• Support broader architectural needs across application and data domains as required.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• Education in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• At least 7 years' experience in infrastructure roles and 3+ years in architecture within complex environments.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, with strong working knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud, and experience across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture frameworks (e.g. Microsoft Well-Architected Framework), cloud security best practices, and technologies including virtualisation, networking, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a collaborative approach and comfort working in Agile environments.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly regarded.
