About Us :
Teralba Park Honey is a boutique, purpose-driven small business on a mission to connect communities with bees through hands-on, engaging education. From childcare centres to schools and community events, we create memorable learning experiences that inspire curiosity about pollination, sustainability, and nature.
As our hive continues to grow, we're ready to welcome a Community and Content Assistant to help us deliver face-to-face bee education sessions while also strengthening our presence online through social media and creative storytelling.
About the Role :
This is a semi-hybrid role for someone who loves connecting with people and has a flair for digital content. You'll deliver bee education sessions across Brisbane and play a key role in crafting social media content that captures the heart of what we do. You will be reporting to the Head of Community and Education.
This is a part-time role with project-based timelines and expectations with approximately 2x in-person sessions per week, plus time allocated for content creation and marketing support.
Key Responsibilities :
Community Engagement & Education
- Facilitate 2x engaging bee education sessions per week in childcare centres, schools, and community spaces
- Set up and pack down educational materials (including our observation hive)
- Interact confidently with children and educators, delivering our message with energy, clarity and passion
Content Creation & Marketing
Manage and grow our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Youtube etc.)Create and schedule engaging content (photos, reels, captions, stories) aligned with our brandSupport development of marketing projects like flyers, blog posts, email newsletters, or campaign ideasHelp strengthen our visual presence through photography and videos during sessions and events as well as bee education content for children and adultsWho You Are :
Based on the Northside of Brisbane and have reliable transportEnergetic, friendly, and confident communicating with children, educators, and familiesComfortable working around bees (training provided – no major sting allergies please)Creative and confident with platforms like Instagram, Canva, Capcut, Youtube and additional video editing toolsAble to work independently and meet deadlines for content / projectsEnthusiastic about environmental education, sustainability, or childhood developmentPreferred Personal Skills to Bring to the Role :
Photography or video editing experienceGraphic design (Canva, Adobe, etc.)Experience with Facebook Ads or basic campaign analyticsBackground in childcare, education, or environmental scienceWhat We Offer :
