Senior Consultant | Cyber Security | Decipher Bureau

Are you passionate about securing and automating cloud environments at scale? We're looking for a proactive and technical Cloud Security SME to lead high-visibility security initiatives within a large global organization.

This role demands a skilled and agile professional who can drive innovative solutions, collaborate across teams, and tackle emerging cloud security challenges head-on.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and review scalable and secure cloud architectures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership to address risks and implement security solutions for emerging cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrate expertise in identifying and mitigating cloud-specific adversarial threats and tactics.
  • Collaborate across teams, including Engineering, Infrastructure, and Application Development, to embed security into processes and solutions.
  • Automate and script workflows using Python, Shell, or similar languages.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform and Ansible to build secure, scalable environments.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: 5-7 years of hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including deep familiarity with AWS services like S3, EC2, Lambda, and IAM.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency with cloud-native security tools (e.g., GuardDuty, CloudTrail, SecurityHub) and automation through scripting or IaC tools.
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Strong understanding of adversarial threats, risk management, and incident response strategies.
  • Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC 2, with the ability to implement and enforce regulatory controls.
  • Certifications: CCSK, CCSP, or similar certifications are highly regarded.

Working Arrangement:

This hybrid role is based in Surry Hills, Sydney, requiring 2-3 days in the office per week.
