Group Delivery Lead – Tech & Digital @ MAP TALENT

About the role

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join one of Australia's most prominent digital platforms, used by millions of people every day. This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and scale the technology behind a major streaming service, while working with a highly collaborative and innovative engineering team.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement backend APIs and microservices in .NET (C#), hosted on AWS
  • Improve platform scalability, performance, and reliability
  • Drive best practice in coding, testing, and software design patterns
  • Collaborate in an agile team with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders
  • Build and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, standards, and team culture

Skills and experience

  • 5+ years' experience in professional software engineering
  • Strong expertise with .NET Core / .NET Framework (C#)
  • Proven experience building scalable, secure, and maintainable microservices
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and distributed systems
  • Hands-on knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, search technologies, and event-driven systems
  • Strong testing background (unit, integration, performance, and security testing)
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a passion for innovation and learning

Nice to haves

  • Experience with media, streaming, or broadcast platforms
  • Familiarity with content management systems
  • Exposure to serverless architectures and CDNs
