We are seeking to establish a Pool of Visitor Service Officers for vacancies that may arise at the Museum of Geraldton within the next 24 months, with the possibility of Casual, Fixed term, Part-time, Full-time, and Permanent appointments.
As a measure to achieve equality under Section 66ZP of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, the Museum is committed to increasing youth representation in the workforce. Therefore, young people (24 years and under) who meet the requirements of the position, may be prioritised for appointment.

About the roleThe Visitor Service Officer's (VSO) role is to provide a welcoming environment and high-quality experience for visitors to the Museum of Geraldton. The VSO's ensure the safety of visitors and staff within the Museum, as well as the security of the Museum collection.
About youWe are seeking dynamic, self-motivated individuals who enjoy working in a positive team environment and delivering a high-quality customer service.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Relish working in a customer service environment.
- Provide a high level of visitor engagement through tours, technology, and interpretive programs.
- Support retail activities.
- Support public events and functions through either the event set-up, and/or pack down, and through guided tours.
- Provide a high standard of security and safety for visitors and the Museum precinct.
