Service Technician - AU role at Vestas

As a Service Technician at Vestas, you will leverage your electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic experience while being part of the global leader in sustainable energy solutions. In the service department, the focus is to provide clients with high-quality maintenance and operational service of their wind farms across Australia.
Location and hours- Work location: Across Regional Australia - This is not a FIFO role and you will need to be in the region
- WA - Merredin, Jurian Bay, Geraldton
- SA - Port Augusta/Whyalla, Millicent/Mt Gambier
- VIC - Warnambool, Ballarat, Sale
- NSW - Canberra/Goulburn, Inverall/Glen Innes
- QLD - Hughenden, Chinchilla/Dulacca, Atherton
- TAS - Musselroe, Granville Harbour
- Working hours: 8 hours/day, approximately on-call once every 3–4 weeks on weekends
- Travel days: approx. 50 days/year
- Work to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met
- Carry out periodic service inspections in accordance with Vestas' specifications alongside electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic component replacement and troubleshooting
- Ensure smooth operation of turbines and use of systems within condition monitoring and remote control
- Maintain an efficient service vehicle and well-stocked warehouse by ordering materials, tools, and spare parts when needed
- Assemble and service components according to current standards and work instructions, using internal or external cranes when necessary
- Electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic trade with a passion to develop further
- Good computer skills; experienced in handling tools or systems to monitor work and documentation
- Good English skills, both written and verbal
- Valid driver's license
- Commitment to the highest health and safety standards in the work environment
- Ability to climb a wind turbine and perform physical work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Open to travel to other sites when required
- Team player with strong communication across stakeholders; work closely with field teams and the wider business
- Solutions-oriented, independent, and well organized
