Responsibilities
  • As a HammondCare volunteer in Cardiff, engage with people living in aged care, potter in the garden, tend plants, plant and grow vegetables and water the gardens.
  • There is no hard labour involved; the role focuses on giving back and sharing a love of gardening.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience for both the person you visit and yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements
  • We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time between Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm.
  • 18 years or older
  • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
