About World Gym Australia: World Gym started way back in the golden era of Bodybuilding, Venice Beach – 1976. It has come a long way since then. We first came to Australia in 2008. Now we have over 50+ clubs nationally with more in construction. We offer a wide range of services to our members and are so much more than just a weight training gym. We offer group fitness, onsite childminding, and fully stocked Barbell Café and ProShop. World Gym is a leading fitness facility with a state-of-the-art gym, a range of fitness classes, and a dedicated team committed to helping our members achieve their health and wellness goals. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced General Club Manager to lead our team and ensure the continued success of our gym.
Job Description:
As the Club General Manager of our upcoming brand new location, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various departments within our gym. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals in the areas of sales, customer service, reception and retail and personal training. Your ability to inspire and motivate your team, as well as your exceptional problem-solving skills, will be crucial to your success in this role. We are looking for a candidate with managerial experience within the industry and keen to grow with the brand.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the sales, customer service, reception and retail and personal training teams to achieve their KPIs and provide excellent service to our members.
- Financial Reporting: Manage the club's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and regular financial reporting. Ensure the club operates within budget and meets revenue targets.
- Forward Thinking: Stay ahead of industry trends and anticipate changes in the fitness and wellness market. Develop and implement strategies to keep our gym competitive and attractive to members.
- Problem Solving: Address challenges and issues as they arise, making quick and effective decisions to ensure the smooth operation of the gym.
- Member Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of member satisfaction by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, as well as delivering exceptional customer service.
- Essential: proven experience in a leadership role in the fitness or related industry.
- Essential: proven experience in leading a sales team and working with KPI's. Ability to do the membership consultant role when required.
- Experience in marketing strategy, planning and executing marketing campaigns using different social media outlets e.g. Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Competence in financial reporting and budget management.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Innovative and forward-thinking mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
