Overview

Disability Support Worker - Community Participation role based in the Sunshine (NSW) area. We are seeking experienced, strong support workers for a Community Participation (CP) role to supplement current income with the capacity to build hours over time.

Responsibilities
  • Support participant(s) with community access and engagement to build confidence in the community.
  • Develop resilience, promote social inclusion, encourage skill-building and confidence.
  • Manage behavioural and emotional needs in community settings to improve life skills.
  • Receive support from the broader team.
The Successful Applicant
  • Calm, physically capable, and reliable.
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • A thorough background in AOD would be highly regarded.
  • Strong de-escalation and behaviour support skills to manage situations as they arise.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed support plans and complete necessary documentation.
  • Immediate start available for the right candidate.
Minimum Requirements
  • Certificate III or IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or a related field
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Available vaccination history
