Join to apply for the Production Manager role at Braemac. Braemac is looking for a commercially astute Production Manager to be responsible for our Production Facility, where you will manage all aspects of the assembly of high-quality electronics and cables.
The Production Manager oversees the entire manufacturing process, including planning production schedules, managing staff, monitoring quality control, and optimizing production processes. You will be coordinating with other departments to ensure excellent service levels, high-quality products, and profitability.

Working hours: 7.30 am - 4.00 pm
SCOPEThe Production Manager is accountable for the overall management of the Braemac Production Facility and for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process. Position is responsible for planning production schedules, managing staff, monitoring quality control, optimizing production processes, and coordinating with other departments to ensure excellent service levels and profitability. Drive demand generation for the production facility's capabilities, focus on keeping transactional cost low yet ensuring superior quality levels, and meeting safety and security objectives.
Accountabilities- Develop and manage a productive and efficient team by hiring qualified personnel, providing clear instructions and guidance, coaching and guiding staff through on-the-job training, and implementing performance management if required.
- Develop and implement detailed production plans, including workforce allocation, material requirements, and production timelines to meet delivery deadlines.
- Direct the daily activities of the production team to ensure excellent service levels, low transactional costs, superior quality levels while ensuring safety, security, and housekeeping objectives are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards by ensuring policies and processes are properly documented, implemented, and training provided to employees.
- Develop and evaluate quality and productivity metrics and implement ongoing plans to continuously improve performance of the production facility. Perform detailed research regarding quality issues and implement corrective action plans as needed.
- Effectively perform administrative aspects of the position, including allocation of resources to active production projects, managing the RDO roster while maintaining ongoing productivity of the facility, timely completion of skills assessments, performance reviews and merit increases, developing and administering corrective action documents, reviewing timesheets, approving leave requests, and maintaining quality and training records.
- Manage marketing activities to communicate the capabilities of the Braemac Production Facility to internal and external stakeholders, with the relevant support from the Marketing team.
- Collaborate closely with Braemac Sales Teams, Procurement, and other relevant internal teams to provide timely and competitive quotes without compromising overall profitability.
- Proactively follow up quotes to maximize conversion to production orders.
- Ensure all areas of the production facility are tidy, presentable, and safe.
- Ensure equipment and tools in the production facility are properly maintained. Responsible for ensuring preventative maintenance procedures are followed and coordinate with relevant vendors to conduct maintenance of equipment and tools as needed.
- Support the warehouse and assembly operation by providing support in a variety of areas including receiving/stocking, shipping, and project completion.
- Develop and maintain functional and cross-functional partnerships and teams across the Braemac Group, including but not limited to Procurement, Product Management, Quality & Compliance, Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Senior Management.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g. business, operations, logistics management, industrial distribution, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Five to seven years of related supervisory or management experience in a production facility is preferred.
Skills & Certifications- Business, managerial, and leadership skills to accomplish production facility objectives.
- Organizational skills for organizing people, projects, etc.
- Oral and written communication skills for communicating and building relationships with extensive internal and external customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Ability to analyze operation processes and develop and recommend improvement strategies.
- Teamwork skills to encourage cooperation within the production facility, sales teams, warehouse, and other internal stakeholders throughout Braemac.
- ISO knowledge preferred for ensuring quality standards are met.
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications at the intermediate level preferred.
