About the job

At the Novotel Surfers Paradise, we are not only focused on our guests, but also our people. We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic, experienced Room Attendants to join our diverse Housekeeping team on a casual basis. Applicants should have previous experience in a similar role, in a hotel with 200+ rooms.

As part of the Housekeeping team you will be responsible for offering a quality customer service experience by maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, guest corridors and service areas, including changing bed linen, making beds, cleaning bathrooms and restocking amenities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attending to guest enquiries and requests in a timely manner
  • Cleaning guests rooms as required, ensuring they meet brand standards
  • Carrying out allocated cleaning duties to achieve brand standards throughout the hotel
  • Transferring dirty linen and removing rubbish and recycling
  • Safe handling and use of chemicals
Qualifications

About you… To be successful in this role, you have a passion for the Hospitality Industry and are committed to delivering high levels of customer service. You will have unlimited work rights in Australia and be available to work varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends and Public Holidays as per business demands.

Experience
  • Previous cleaning experience; hotel cleaning experience is highly desirable
  • A can-do positive attitude and service with a smile
  • A keen eye for detail with good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable using a two-way radio
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Flexible availability to work on a rotating 7-day roster including weekends and school holidays (and overnight when required)
  • Understanding of correct chemical usage and manual handling techniques to ensure safe work practices in this physical role
  • Must hold valid Australian work rights; sponsorship is not offered
