About us

Are you a hands-on problem-solver with a knack for keeping Electrical Systems in top shape? Our client has a position for an experienced Industrial A grade Electrician with mechanical skills to join their modern warehouse at Tullamarine. In this role, you'll be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our Materials Handling Systems (MHS) and other freight equipment.

Please note this role is in a freight warehouse environment working with automation machinery & conveyor belt systems.

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

  1. Working a 10pm - 6am shift, 5 days a week
  2. Ensuring all work adheres to safety regulations and company policies
  3. Undertaking handyman tasks such as minor repairs and general maintenance
  4. Following maintenance plans to prevent equipment breakdowns and performing necessary repairs
  5. Working daily with automation within the warehouse
  6. Performing electrical maintenance and repairs according to industry standards
  7. Upholding safety standards to ensure a zero-injury environment and maintaining a professional image with customers and suppliers
  8. Running diagnostic tests and troubleshooting issues

To be successful, you will possess the following:

  1. Proven experience in an automation warehouse setting
  2. Must have an A grade Electrical License
  3. Must have an EWP Ticket - Elevated Work Platform or Scissor License
  4. Strong technical understanding of automated control systems in MHS or high-speed processing environments
  5. Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to read mechanical drawings
  6. High-level problem-solving skills
  7. FMCG or conveyor belt experience (highly desirable)
  8. Industrial experience (highly desirable)
  9. Physically fit and healthy
  10. Full working rights for full-time hours
  11. Own car and PPE
