Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, part of a global charity with a highly collaborative federated structure in Australia. Our services operate 365 days of the year.

The Role

We're looking for a creative and detail-driven Marketing & Communications Coordinator with a passion for storytelling that inspires action. Working closely with our Communications & Marketing Executive, you'll help us craft compelling content and deliver engaging campaigns that strengthen our fundraising and deepen supporter relationships across our 5 support programs.

From writing high-conversion fundraising emails and campaign pages to optimising family stories for SEO and building engaging supporter journeys — your words will help us reach more people and raise more support.

This is not just any role — it's for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves, write brilliant copy, publish beautiful content, and deliver exceptional digital experiences for a cause that matters.

Note** This is a newly created role, initially offered as a fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension or transition to an ongoing position based on performance and organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Write and edit compelling, high-conversion copy for EDMs, social media, websites, and donor communications optimized for SEO and engagement

· Build, schedule, and manage integrated supporter journeys using Campaign Monitor, Funraisin, and WordPress

· Maintain and update web content with SEO best practices

· Ensure brand consistency and tone across all content

· Assist with media releases, newsletters, and internal communications

· Support CRM data entry, segmentation, and campaign tracking using Salesforce

· Collaborate with the team to develop content playbooks and improve workflows

Selection Criteria:

· Bachelor degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, or equivalent experience is highly regarded

· Proven experience crafting creative, persuasive copy that drives engagement and conversions

· Strong understanding of SEO principles and their application in digital content

· Graphic design or strong visual eye

· Experience with email marketing platforms (preferably Campaign Monitor), CMS (WordPress), and CRM systems (Salesforce)

· Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality

· Passion for storytelling with the ability to translate complex stories into clear, emotive content

· Collaborative spirit and a willingness to support a busy, mission-driven team

· Due to the nature of our team, the role may be required to support event delivery or chapter representation, and with prior notice, outside of usual work hours

· Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Check

· Experience writing for SEO (desired)

· Experience writing for or supporting media outreach (desired)

· Exposure to marketing playbooks, internal toolkits or SOPs (desired)
