The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is seeking experiencedLine Pilots to join our team and help deliver essential healthcare and emergency services to communities acrossregional Western Australia. Successful candidates will be based at one of the following locations:
Port Hedland
Meekatharra (FIFO Role)
About the Role
As aLine Pilot, you will play a vital role in transporting patients, medical teams, and essential supplies to remote and regional areas. This position requires a high level of operational expertise, a strong commitment to aviation safety, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for safely operating aircraft for patient transport and medical retrievals, conducting both emergency and non-emergency flights, and ensuring compliance with CASA regulations and RFDS safety protocols. Additionally, you will maintain accurate flight logs and aircraft records while actively participating in ongoing training and professional development.
What we're looking for
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
Australian Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Australian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)
Minimum 1500 hoursof fixed-wing flight experience
Fixed-wing Single-Pilot Experience
Holds a SEA Instrument Rating, with at least:
100 hours ofNight Flying
100 hours ofInstrument Flight Time (IFR)
At least twoInstrument Proficiency Checks (IPCs)
Turbine, pressurization and aeromedical experience will be highly advantageous
Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A passion for providing essential healthcare services to regional and remote communities
