Graduate Structural Engineer

Graduate Structural Engineer role in Melbourne offering hands-on experience in building design within a supportive consultancy environment.
Your RoleHere's what you will be doing:
- Work on simple projects or sections of projects, progressing towards responsibility for project sections
- Use standard engineering techniques to solve problems
- Assist senior engineers with analysis, design production, and calculations
- Prepare calculations and analysis of building structures
- Assist with preparation of specifications, fee proposals, reports, and other documentation under close supervision
- Liaise and coordinate with builders, architects, and services engineers on design issues under senior engineer supervision
The company is looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Graduate membership with Engineers Australia
- Understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards
- 0-3 years of structural engineering experience
- Ability to apply theoretical engineering principles to practical situations through analysis and interpretation
- Problem solving/analytical skills
