Overview

With a presence in over 50 countries, they collaborate closely with their customers to enhance operational safety, minimise downtime, boost efficiency, and comply with modern environmental regulations.

As a result of project demand, they're after a Mechanical Fitter to perform thorough evaluations of all seal configurations and generate in-depth documentation on behalf of the business and its partners.

Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, examine, and reassemble dry gas seals and seal cartridges following technical drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare components and complete necessary paperwork for seal refurbishment.
  • Receive and inspect all incoming dry gas seal components from storage and external suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control checks performed on dry gas seals.
  • Oversee the refurbishment process, including disassembly and placement of dry gas seals into testing equipment or jigs.
  • Operate and ensure proper upkeep of machinery used for lapping, polishing, grooving, de-burring, spin testing, surface profiling, and balancing.
Requirements
  • Must either be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent resident visa.
  • Capable of effectively managing, organising, and prioritising tasks in high-pressure situations with competing deadlines.
  • Holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Mechanical Trade Qualification, or an equivalent credential.
  • Brings at least three years of experience in a technical support or service role within the mechanical engineering field or a related industry.
  • Must possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
