Our client is a leading financial services firm in WA, established 40 years ago, with 80 staff across four divisions including Accounting, Tax, Business Consulting, Financial Advisory, Mortgage Lending, Personal Insurance, and Superannuation (SMSF). They offer comprehensive and personalized financial services, focusing on building lasting relationships with clients to improve their financial well-being.

Located in West Perth, their offices are near Kings Park, cafes, and restaurants. The Partners have been there over 20 years, many starting as graduates. The team of 60 employees is stable, with low turnover and a friendly, team-oriented culture that values social activities and work-life balance.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Bookkeeper, your main duties include:

  1. Weekly bookkeeping for multiple clients
  2. Payroll management, including indirect taxes (e.g., payroll tax) reporting
  3. Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
  4. Assisting in the preparation of BAS & IAS submissions (monthly & quarterly)
  5. Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet)
  6. Processing year-end adjustments
  7. Supporting Accountants as required

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL NEED:

  1. At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience
  2. Experience in an Australian public practice firm or with multiple clients preferred
  3. Strong rapport-building and client relationship skills
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication
  5. Team player capable of working across all levels
  6. High standards of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism
