Overview

Senior Heritage Advisor - TOP $$$$'s - Immediate Start at Data Sentry

We are seeking a qualified Senior Heritage Advisor/Archaeologist with demonstrated project management experience. This role offers the chance to utilize your expertise and satisfy your sense of adventure through exciting, consultative projects across Victoria.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee cultural heritage projects from inception to completion, including managing project milestones and stakeholder engagement
  • Build strong relationships with Traditional Owners
  • Prepare reports such as CHMPs, CHPs, survey reports, salvage reports, and due diligence assessments
  • Supervise archaeological field surveys and excavations
  • Coordinate the repatriation of cultural heritage material
  • Mentor team members and foster industry awareness
Key Selection Criteria
  • 5+ years' experience delivering large-scale projects
  • 5+ years of work experience with Archaeology
  • Accreditation as a Heritage Advisor
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Archaeology (minimum Honours level)
  • Proven ability to consult and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Expertise in cultural heritage legislation, including the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and Heritage Act 2017
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • GIS experience is highly desirable
