Overview

Talent Acquisition Partner for Rheem Australia is hiring a Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join the Operations team in Moorabbin. The role is initially offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

The Role

You will drive the Safety and Wellbeing Framework and Strategic Plan at Rheem, Moorabbin. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead and coordinate projects including operational safety innovation, risk management and employee wellbeing programs. You will collaborate with the Group Safety and Wellbeing Manager to promote and support the Safe & Well Every Day at Rheem vision. Through consultation with managers and employees, you will strengthen safety and wellbeing capability by providing coaching, information, support and training.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate safety and wellbeing initiatives aligned with the Safety and Wellbeing Framework and Strategic Plan.
  • Drive operational safety innovation, risk management and employee wellbeing programs.
  • Collaborate with the Group Safety and Wellbeing Manager to promote the Safe & Well Every Day at Rheem vision.
  • Coach, inform and train managers and staff to strengthen safety and wellbeing capability.
About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in a WHS Advisor role
  • Formal qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety, or working towards
  • Ability to work across various departments and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of State WHS regulations and codes of practice
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with management systems including cloud-based platforms
  • High self-motivation, time management and organisational ability
  • Energetic, pragmatic, and open to new approaches while respecting diverse opinions
Bonus (Not Essential)
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics or high-risk environments
  • Return to Work Coordinator training
  • Experience with internal or external safety auditing
