Join the team to create commercial, customer-focused graphics applied to product ranges that reflect Kmart's handwriting and grow incremental sales. This is achieved through collaboration with the design team, tasteful aesthetics and a strong eye for trend.

As a collaborative, driven print & graphic designer, you will work with the Design team to create product that brings memorable moments to customers. You will design desirable and on-trend print artwork for women and have impact on the product range. You will identify, interpret and implement global market trends to grow sales through attractive everyday product. You will engage in trend forecasting to guide graphic direction for the season.

• Identify, interpret and implement graphic trends using global trends and markets to add value through graphic design and sales in line with Kmart handwriting.
• Visually articulate and effectively communicate the graphic direction for the season.
• Present graphic trend forecasts to a target audience with supporting evidence.
• Maintain strong aesthetic taste and stay ahead of commercial trend directions.
• Interpret range architecture to create commercial, customer-focused artwork across ranges reflecting Kmart handwriting and taste.
• Brief and coordinate with overseas graphic designers to ensure coordinated commercial outcomes.
• Create desirable graphics for products in line with Kmart handwriting and external market needs.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of product materials and construction.

• 5+ years' experience as a Graphic Designer in apparel (print or graphic design for textiles, yardages and placement prints).
• Graphic Design, Surface Pattern, Illustration design degree or similar.
• Experience in apparel graphic design for menswear, womenswear or children's wear is preferable.
• High proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Strong ability to forecast and implement commercial and broad-appeal trends.
• Ability to work confidently and autonomously with key stakeholders in merchandise and design.
• Excellent technical skills in Illustrator and Photoshop and ability to create accurate graphic art.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Confident and articulate presentation skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time management and ability to plan and prioritise workload, including coordinating with overseas teams to create volume ranges.
