Overview

We are seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join our State Government Client and play a pivotal role in supporting the operational and financial performance of a high value asset portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate financial planning, budget cycles, and forecasting.
  • Provide expert financial advice and analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement strategies to enhance cost recovery and revenue generation.
  • Mentor and uplift financial literacy across the branch.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, government policies, and WH&S legislation.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial services and reports.
  • Develop and implement financial frameworks and monitoring processes.
  • Conduct high-level research and analysis on complex financial issues.
  • Support business case development and strategic planning.
  • Partner with managers to improve financial decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
  • Proven experience in financial management within a complex organisation.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and financial systems (e.g., SAMIS, Basware, Oracle).
