We are seeking expressions of interest for current or aspiring VE Teachers who have relevant industry qualifications and vocational teaching qualifications OR currently obtaining a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116).

As a VE Teacher at RMIT, you will be mainly responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses in the School.
Participation in the School's continuing reviews of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including online delivery methods) and methods of students' assessment will also form part of this role. You will interact with external organisations, industry groups and RMIT teaching and administration staff. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities which ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
Responsibilities- Deliver course material and assess students in selected VE courses
- Supervise students enrolled in VE courses
- Engage in ongoing reviews of course content, delivery methods (including online delivery) and assessment methods
- Interact with external organisations, industry groups and RMIT staff to support vocational competence
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments
- Utilise flexible teaching methods and competency-based assessment
- Leverage industry knowledge and relevant qualifications to support student learning
- Relevant industry qualifications and vocational teaching qualifications OR currently obtaining a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116)
- Relevant trades qualifications and licenses
- The capacity to diagnose learning problems in students and propose effective solutions
