Job DescriptionPetVets is a locally owned and operated business based in Petersham, providing great care for your furry best friend. PetVets is a small team of friendly vets, nurses and receptionists that strive towards providing a very personalised level of care to you. This means that you will not be treated as a number because we genuinely love getting to know you and your pets.
Responsibilities- Helping Veterinarians by holding the animals to allow examinations
- Preparing instruments and helping as needed
- Taking care of animals that are being treated, caring for their cages, and conditions
- Giving medication as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Provide care advice, preparation and reviewing animal care programs
- Help educate pet owners with care at home after a procedure
- Help maintain the clinic's stock control and records
- May perform diagnostic laboratory tests
- May act as receptionist, accept payments, and undertake clerical work
- At least a CERT IV in Vet Nursing
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Vet Nurse
- Experience in handling different sizes of pets
- Experience in Veterinary Hospital settings
- Extensive knowledge in vital charting and medical protocols
Remuneration will be based on the right candidate's experience. The job will be based in Petersham NSW with no remote work available. Roster is 38-40 hours per week.
