About Us
McMahon Services is a privately owned, national leader in civil construction, demolition, environmental and infrastructure services. Our Civil & Infrastructure (C&I) stream is delivering major works across Australia – and we're growing.

We are now seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join our team in Adelaide. This is not your standard CA role – you won't be assigned to just one project. Instead, you'll have the opportunity to take commercial ownership across multiple concurrent projects, each at different stages of the lifecycle. You'll be a key part of our commercial team and pivotal to project success.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Commercial & Finance Manager, this role is ideal for a high-performing, commercially driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will manage and support the contract administration for a portfolio of civil and infrastructure projects.

This role requires a strong ability to prioritise competing demands, build strong working relationships with operational teams and subcontractors, and provide independent commercial oversight across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

Manage contract administration across a diverse portfolio of projects

Prepare and administer head contracts and subcontracts in collaboration with project teams

Oversee procurement processes, including scopes of work and contract execution

Lead the administration of variations, claims, delays, extensions of time and progress payments

Drive accountability in monthly reports, support forecasting and track project financial performance

Ensure contractual compliance and proactively manage commercial risk

Work closely with Project Managers to drive commercial outcomes

Act as a mentor and technical lead for the Contract Administrators

About You

Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Law, Engineering or similar

Minimum 8 years' experience in a contracts or commercial role within civil or infrastructure sectors

Demonstrate technical and persuasive writing skills, with the ability to draft and review contract documentation, variation claims and commercial correspondence clearly and effectively

Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently

Strong knowledge of Australian Standard and bespoke contract

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

High level of organisation, initiative and attention to detail

Strong ability to build rapport and influence outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups

What We Offer

A dynamic role with variety – no two days or projects are the same

Exposure to diverse and high-value projects across the civil & infrastructure sector

Supportive team culture and experienced leadership

Competitive remuneration and long-term development opportunities

A chance to make a real impact within a growing national business
