What's the role?

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Architect to join the Consumer Finance team. Reporting to the Principal Solutions Architect, you will work independently to analyse the business and technology landscape and help develop architectural solutions and strategies.

The key responsibilities are working with business users, technology teams, and suppliers to review IT solutions and make sure they meet business needs. This includes tracking requirements during projects, helping assess changes, and improving design processes while following Westpac's standards. The role also involves building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to guide and approve solutions and architecture that support business and technology goals.

What do I need?

  • Experience within the IT Industry / financial services or in business consulting as well as clear knowledge of Information Management Principles and Infrastructure Constructs including cloud-based hosting and workloads.
  • Experience working in Consumer Product domain's (Consumer Finance, Mortgage, Transaction)
  • Experience with Credit Cards, Loans and/or Transactional products
  • Experience with designing origination & servicing journeys for consumer products including credit policy & decisioning.
  • Experience in card linked Loyalty and Rewards offers.
  • Experience working in Digital domains highly regarded.
  • Strong experience across multiple Architecture domains and hands on experience in delivering a major business solution (application system) into production within a project team
  • Demonstrable experience in Integration Design – API, microservice, batch, and streaming
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture disciplines and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
