Your role and responsibilities

As an experienced SAP Integration Consultant at IBM Consulting, you will deliver innovative business solutions through design, build, and test, including responsibility for systems integration. You will leverage your subject matter expertise and your leadership capabilities to ensure successful project delivery and client success. We will give you access to unique career opportunities, and a vast and diverse network of talented SAP professionals.

As a member of an onshore/offshore team of ABAP Integration developers, you will perform technical design, produce technical specifications, and build ABAP objects aligned to the agreed integration strategy and approach. You will work closely with the design team and test teams to resolve defects associated with the integration development objects.

We would like you to have:

A solid SAP Integration background with at least 3 full implementations, ideally in a large government organization environment. Strong experience in integration design, planning, and managing execution of the integration development build. Experience in the S/4 HANA Fiori development is a must.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Be eligible to obtain an AGSVA baseline security clearance or already have AGSVA baseline security clearance

Required education:

Bachelor's Degree

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrable skills in ABAP and integration to PI/PO and Data Services
  • Development and administration of IDOCs and Web Services
  • Good knowledge of ABAP, REST services, ESR Objects
  • Design and development experience producing and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services including XML Schemas and WSDLs
  • Basic knowledge of HANA development and administration
  • Working experience building complex interfaces to and from SAP S4HANA
  • Minimum 5 years SAP experience developing solutions for SAP systems
  • At least 3 full cycle implementations in a senior development role
  • Ability to communicate clearly, listen, understand and adapt to the audience; to ensure common understanding.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience developing SAP Integration applications with other interfacing systems
  • Demonstrated experience as an SAP Integration Developer (BAPI, IDOC, ALE)
  • Basic knowledge of SAP functional modules
  • Experience working in large SAP project teams with complex business rules
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and to share information
