The Opportunity

Our Cavan branch is seeking an enthusiastic Sales Hunter to join as a Construction Equipment Sales Representative. This role involves selling new Hitachi Mini Excavators, Construction Excavators up to 90 tonnes, Hitachi Wheel Loaders, Bell Articulated Dump Trucks, and used equipment of various brands and models.

While there is an element of existing account management, the role emphasizes proactively prospecting for new business to grow our market share in the region.

The territory includes parts of Metro Adelaide, Adelaide Hills, and the Southeast down to Mt Gambier, with the Hitachi Adelaide branch located in Cavan.

Reporting to the SA Sales Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Managing relationships within an existing customer network in the territory
  • Seeking sales opportunities for new and used equipment through daily cold calling and prospecting
  • Organizing and attending trade shows, government events, and networking activities
  • Keeping the CRM system updated with your regional activities
  • Meeting market share targets and KPIs set by management

About You :

You should be a trustworthy individual with a high moral standard, able to work autonomously, and willing to travel regularly. This is a customer-facing role that requires extensive cold calling from a supplied database.

Requirements :

  • Previous sales experience is highly regarded but not essential; graduates are encouraged to apply
  • A genuine desire to deliver total customer satisfaction and develop positive relationships
  • Excellent cold calling and telephone skills, or willingness to learn them
  • Motivated to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Experience with CRM systems or ability to learn quickly
  • Confident, courteous, professional, and ethical sales approach
  • Reasonable mechanical aptitude
  • Current Driver's License
